Calm Songs

I have an iPod classic. It has 80GB of capacity. I copied all my CD songs into it. Currently it is only filled up slightly over 5 GB.

I used to play my CD player in my Orange Peugeot 206 car when I drove to work or after work. I used to listen to my songs according to the CD compilation. Maybe because I am used to listen the songs in that sequence. I could remember from one song end which will be the next songs to be played in those familiar CDs.

But after I sold my car, I do not have the previlege to listen to my digital surround sound system. Instead I play my songs in the iPod Classic while taking public transport. Of course the feeling is not as great as listening in my car, but I can play songs in any sequence I want.

I have 2 playlists one called Sounds of Joy another called calm. I add the lively songs under the Sounds of Joy playlist and sentimental songs in calm playlist. One for listening in the morning and the other for listening after work. Well of course I will listen the Sound of Joy on my way to work. If not I will dorse off on my way to office listening to the calm songs.

I am now listening to my Calm songs while writing this. The first song I placed in the list is Angel by Sarah Mclachian. I love this song so much that I can repeatedly listening to this song non stop. The music has this soothing effect which somehow could ease all kinds of anxiety you had. You just felt that you can forget all the sorrow and stress that you had and just flow with the song. I never actually look into the lyrics until now that I started to search it from the internet. And here it is:

Angel — Sarah Mclachian

Spend all your time waiting for that second chance
For the break that will make it ok
There’s always some reason to feel not good enough
And it’s hard at the end of the day
I need some distraction, oh beautiful release
Memories seep from my veins
They may be empty and weightless, and maybe
I’ll find some peace tonight

In the arms of an Angel, fly away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room, and the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie
You’re in the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here

So tired of the straight line, and everywhere you turn
There’s vultures and thieves at your back
The storm keeps on twisting, you keep on building the lies
That you make up for all that you lack
It don’t make no difference, escaping one last time
It’s easier to believe
In this sweet madness, oh this glorious sadness
That brings me to my knees

In the arms of an Angel, far away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room, and the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie
In the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here

This song is quite popular on the web and I hitted a few blogs article mentioning this. No doubt that a lot of people feel the same as me.

I may not believe in God but I wish there will be Angels that would lend their arms to the human beings to find some comfort here — on earth.

And how I wish I can sing like her..

Long time No Posting

I think I’m very lazy. Been stop writing for quite a while. In fact I’m never been a good blogger. Only written a couple of times. Decided to restart my blog again. Hmm what should I start then?
Let see.. wonder why other bloggers got so many things to write..

Let me start up with my my crochet projects then! After all these are the things that made me happy these days..

My last finished project was a long blouse made from cotton thread.

My second last project is a nice sweater. Published in my facebook.

The next one is going to be an afghan of autumn leaves pattern. I figure that would take a while for me to finish it.. Altogether there are 63 squares to make. I have finished 12 so far… Reminds me to go to Spotlight to buy more yarn..

Throughout the years I have done quite a number of projects, curtain, cushion covers, blouses, sweaters, scarf, etc. sure hope the price of the yarn go down so that I can do more projects in future. Ha! Ha!
